Last Saturday, March 13, 2010, Drew and I in front of all our friends and family became 1! I wish I had been blogging more up until this point but I have just been too busy.
But, I know everyone is dying to hear about the wedding and see pictures.

As far as the wedding, it was absolutely perfect! I could not have imagined it any better. I could tell that God was orchestrating every single detail to make it absolutely flawless! Drew and I are so thankful for His mighty mighty blessings!!!
Also, we wanted to let you all know how thankful we are for everyone who donated their time and energy to our big day. You were the hands and feet making it so perfect!
As far as married life is going, it is unbelievable!! I am seeing myself already falling more and more in love with my husband in ways that I wasnt before!
I am out of words to express how wonderful it is!! =0)

Love Day

With all the wedding stuff going on and my moms determination for me to have nothing at their house but the clothes im wearing (for those of you who dont know, they are trying to sell their house) I am slooooooooowwwwllllyyyyy getting wedding details done. This is mainly because the new printer Drew just bought for us to do wedding stuff on must be kept at mine and Drews house. This does nothing but make wedding planning MORE complicated. So, for now, when I need to print things, or scan things, or simply get more clothes to wear I must drive 1hour and 15mins to Harpersville to do it!!

So, to make things a little easier, Drew has offered to stay at his parents any time I need to stay the night at our house to get things done. --burden lifted--

Last week I decided to take him up on the offer so that I could scan the thousand pictures needed for our wedding slideshow. On Thursday night I traveled to the Chelsea walmart to get cookie-dough, sprinkles, wax paper, and flower. I know you are wondering "what are you doing with those items??" well, I had decided that to give Drew just a *little* surprise for v-day (we had decided earlier not to do anything because we are both so broke and busy from the wedding). But, I can never resist! So, I was going to make sugar cookies for him in the shape of hearts with BLUE sprinkles since he is a boy (trying to make it something he would like- one item learned from pre-marital counseling ;) ). And if any of you know Drew then you KNOW he loves sweets so cookies are right up his alley.
Well, I ran thru walmart and drove on to our house.
As I walked up the stairs into the kitchen I found on the counter this!:

Drew had so sweetly written me a letter, along with lots of candy, telling me to enjoy the night in our new home and that he couldnt wait to be there with me next year on v-day!

Then, I walked over to the stove where I found this!:

Flowers, a SWEET card, and more candy! The card directed me to look in the fridge where he had made (yes, thats right ladies) he MADE chocolate covered strawberries!!
Yes, he is making them for the wedding now ;)

So that night I overindulged in TV! Strawberries! Candy! and Spaghetti! (he knew how bad I had been wanting to make spaghetti with our new cooking stuff from the shower so he left me all the ingredients!) SO SWEET!!!

As you all know, the next day I woke up to a blizzard! Work had been cancelled and our house was getting covered in snow! So, a little bit depressed (cause I had no one to play in the snow with) I sat on the couch all day and watched tv/napped!

Then the door bell rang,

And I recieved these!:

Lets just say he more than destroyed my cookie idea with all of his creativity! But, I still made the cookies, although, they werent near as good as the Chocolate Covered Strawberries!

Drew is such a great fiance! And I know he is going to make a great husband!!

Deadlines & Emotions

Just wanted to update you all on the 'list'...
I pretty much have done it all!-
In the past 10 days we have bought all supplies, made the invitations, found a caterer and a cake baker!!
Only things left to do are minor small arts and crafts type things! woohoooooo!!
We are getting knee deep in our pre-marital counseling and it is going GREAT!
School is starting to speed up and I am getting prepared for papers and midterms but I am SANE!!
I hope to begin sharing pictures with you all of the wedding planning. I just have to get the *new* camera Drew bought me out and make time to use it!! Lets just say pictures have been the least of my worries lately but Id like to make time for them.
Life at home is good. Mom is going CrAzY because they are selling their house. Each morning the house must be SPOTLESS and on Saturdays we are not allowed to enter the home unless we are planning on buying it! lol! But, despite her constant nagging about keeping it clean and clutter free it has been great to be at home. I am finding myself a little sad to be leaving soon (FOREVER).
Last week I finally had my first, second, and third emotional breakdown in regards to the wedding. I wouldnt call this a negative thing tho. I believe the emotions are the good kind. I find myself crying out of joy and out of fright because Im scared to be leaving my life in the hands of someone else (FOREVER). But, over all I am very joyous about this. I guess its better to be getting the emotions out NOW than on the alter.
Im wondering... am I going to boohoooo or laugh? ;)

43 Days and Counting....

I know you all are thinking its pretty humorous that I have a countdown going til the Big Day. But, to be honest I have never been more excited about something in my life! I am going to spend my life with my best friend!!!!

Among all the excitement comes the much added stress of 12hours of school, and an average of 27 hours of work a week on top of all the planning. Lets just say I have A LOT left to do. Minor details that is but very time consuming.

In 43 days I must complete the following:
Decide on the band
Pick the music
Make the slideshow
Make the invitations
Make the program
Go with the moms to get their outfits
Design the floorplan for the reception
Design the stage floorplan for the ceremony
Pick a caterer
Pick a cake baker
Go to Sams and load up on candy for the candy bar
Get my dress altered
Find shoes
Find jewelry
Bridesmaids gifts
GET IN SHAPE
Go to Michaels with mom to pick out decorations
Order toasting glasses and cake cutter
Attend final 2 showers, hair practice, bridesmaid luncheon, and bachelorette party
BREATH... lol!
And so much more....
But my wonderful fiance has been so gracious to complete the thank you cards for me! I just love him!! So if they are quite humorous you will know why! ;)

All that to say that once that list is completed I get to marry the man of my dreams! It is all so worth it! I would do it 1000 times over!

Here is a peak at some engagement photos our friend Jon took back in December. He did a great job! Hope you enjoy!

The Reason:

"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." Genesis 2:24

I started this blog to be able to capture mine and Drews journey to and thru marriage. Drew and I both have a strong desire to be an example to our friends of a Godly relationship/marraige. We in NO WAY claim to be perfect. But we hope that in some way all our failures can be a witness to God's graciousness upon and work in us. It is thru Him alone that we are who we are and act and live the way we do. We want to be sure that this blog is most glorifying to Him.

Today Drew and I began our journey thru premarital counseling. We are reading "This Momentary Marriage" by John Piper. Im not exactly sure how I feel just yet about the book, since so far I have only read the introduction and 1st chapter. But it seems like it is going to be a very interesting and insightful book. Intro and chapter 1 reminded me of the reason for marriage. I was also reminded of our societies false image of marriage. Not only has secular society removed God from pretty much every aspect of life (the life which God is allowing them to live) they are now just simply not getting married! Marriage, the ultimate reflection of God's covenant with His people, is not even happening. God's covenant, kept by the coming and dying of Jesus Christ, is displayed thru the marriage of man and woman to present the Gospel to the world and people arent even doing it anymore!
I could begin a huge paragraph/page/chapter about how society is treating marriage but that isnt for todays blog. So I will stop ranting now and get to the point...
Drew and I want so badly for the point of our marriage to be for the spread of the Gospel message. We pray that thru this blog and thru the life that God is allowing us to live that we can show a God honoring example of marriage.
I hope you grow in your spiritual walk someway or another thru the reading of this blog.
To Him be all the glory!

Christmas 2009

The last Christmas before we get married!! This Christmas Drew and I were able to spend quality time with both of our families. It was an amazing last year staying the night with my family on Christmas Eve. Something Im truly going to miss once we are married! :(

Every family has Christmas traditions that they do every year. Drew and I are going to follow in my families footsteps and get new PJ's every Christmas Eve to wear that night! We also are going to get a new ornament each year on Thanksgiving to hang on the tree.
I cant wait to see what traditions we come up with on our own! I cant wait to experience Christmas in our own house this December!

I just want to take this time to thank Jesus for coming over 2000 years ago and bringing us back to our Father. Thank you Jesus for allowing us to remember what Christmas is all about and for allowing us to celebrate it together every year as a family!!

My little brother and sister got cell phones! They are groing up too fast!!

The elf rolled my parents tree....
